Shame on You, Mike Huckabee--You're a Disgrace!

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has disgraced himself and removed himself from reasonable political debate by his continuing to support the mentally challenged Todd Akin in his hopeless campaign for a Missouri Senate seat.

Bad enough Huckabuck endorsed this neanderthal in the first place.  But the fact that he he is still supporting him and encouraging him to stay in the reason is simply inexcusable and unforgivable.

Worse, Huckleberry's rhetoric is especially offensive.  See the story here.  Check out this quote:

Speaking harshly about establishment Republicans who have tried to force Akin from the Missouri race, Huckabee at one point compared the National Republican Senatorial Committee to "union goons" who "kneecap" their enemies.

The former Arkansas governor said party bosses were "opening up rounds and rounds" of ammunition on Akin and "then running over with tanks and trucks and leaving him to be ravaged by the other side."

“This is unprecedented, to see to this orchestrated attempt to humiliate and devastate a fellow Republican,” Huckabee said of Akin, who has deep ties to the Christian conservative movement. Akin spent Thursday in Florida meeting with evangelical leaders and evaluating his political future.

"Goons." Governor?  Seriously?  That sounds like what the leftists say about us, not good constructive criticism from a fellow conservative.  I always felt the Huckster was really just a liberal who believed in God and not a true blue conservative.  That's why I didn't support him in 2008 and now he is proving me right.

Not only am I goon, but Mitt Romney, Ann Coulter, Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, Paul Ryan, John Corwyn, Sean Hannity, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh and virtually every single Republican with an IQ above 75 is a goon, Governor?

Governor Huckabee, the only person who attempted to "humiliate and devastate" a fellow Republican--Todd Akin--is Mr. Akin himself.  Check that, he didn't "attempt" to, he in fact accomplished it with one spectacularly horrific and idiotic interview.  As I've already said here,  that one interview instantly made him totally unfit for elective office--unarguably so.

Over the weekend, to my horror I learned that Gov. Huckabee is scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention this week.  Are you kidding me?  After what he said about all the sane Republicans who are trying to get Akin to quit?  By implication he has called the Republican nominees for President and Vice-President "goons."  He has thus disqualified himself from speaking  at the RNC.  If he does speak (and that's questionable due to the rescheduling of the convention due to the ridiculous decision to cancel the first day of the convention), he should be booed heavily, and totally ignored. He is a disgrace to the Republican party.

Further, I call on Fox News Channel to cancel his weekly show.  He has no place there now.  He is a sham, a fool, and a joke.  Perhaps he can land a gig on MSNBC.
